Over the past couple of weeks, my vision started to blur slightly in my left eye. There's no pain, but I’ve noticed some thickening or cloudiness in the corner of the eye. Could this be due to dry eye, or might it be something growing on the surface?

That cloudiness and the subtle visual distortion may be an early sign of pterygium eye disease https://myvisioncare.org/disease/phlegmon . My aunt had the same concern and went through rounds of eye drops, thinking it was just dryness. But her ophthalmologist explained that pterygium causes tissue to grow from the conjunctiva onto the cornea, which can change the shape of the surface and mess with your vision. It doesn’t always require surgery, but once it starts impacting clarity, it’s something doctors monitor closely. She ended up needing a minor procedure to remove it, and her vision cleared up almost immediately. I’d say don’t wait around if the blur is increasing.
