This script is run directly against the Microsoft SQL Server database that hosts the list of BIOS passwords. At a minimum, it needs to be run against the 'HP BIOS Password List' Data Store. The \"HP BIOS Password List\" Data Store can be created by running the following query against the Microsoft SQL Server database.
EXEC xp_cmdshell \"SELECT userName, password FROM [APPLICATIONS].[PASSWORDS] WHERE userName = 'System Administrator' AND userIsActive = '1' GO\" hp.probook.elitebook.bios.password.reset.utility.hpbr As an example, if you are trying to reset the bios password for a specific keyboard shortcut, the query would look like this:
This method will take the following parameters: DBConn - the Microsoft Database Connection string to connect to the Microsoft SQL server where the data store resides. UserName - the username that the script will authenticate to. Password - the password to be used to authenticate to the Microsoft SQL Server database. StrgKey - the keyboard shortcut to be used to reset the BIOS password. For instance CTRL+ALT+DEL for a desktop computer or CTRL+ALT+P for a mobile device. If the keyboard shortcut is not listed, the first 10 characters of the keyboard shortcut will be used to lookup the correct keyboard shortcut. 3d9ccd7d82
