Everybody wears their jeans differently, and the same is true when it comes to shorts. At American Eagle Outfitters, we've spent the past four decades developing the the best fits, most unique washes, and working on every product we put out to become America's favorite jeans brand. We hold every pair of shorts and overalls to that same standard, and are excited to expand our assortment of denim shortalls moving forward.
Why jean overall shorts There's nothing like a great one piece wonder and our AE women's overall shorts are both casual and statement-making in the same high quality denim you know and love. Every pair is crafted from the best cotton denim, whether it's 100% cotton for a vintage feel that softens and breaks in over time, or upgraded with the latest in stretch technology for an ultra-soft and comfortable feel that moves with you and holds its shape wear after wear.
Our overall shorts for girls come in a variety of fits, from a more tailored look to a looser, relaxed fit that gives you an effortless \"I woke up like this\" vibe. Keep it clean in white or black denim, rich indigo, or pure faded blues. If you prefer a more distressed look, our destroyed denim is carefully finished for an authentic, broken in look that you can make entirely your own.
One of the best things about AE overall shorts is all the ways you can make them yours. Style them with one of our signature Soft & Sexy tees for a minimalist look you can wear anywhere. Add a little flare by mixing it up with one of our more on-trend tops, adding a soft bodysuit, must-have tube top, or flowy bohemian tank. Finish your outfit with a great waist-tied flannel (festival season, anyone), tons of accessories, and your favorite pair of canvas sneakers or strappy sandals. No matter how you wear AE jean overalls, you'll love the way they fit, feel, and look. Take what we make and make it yours.
Make a more sophisticated version of dungarees with our well-proportioned bib and optional utility pocket, or omit the bib entirely and make a pair of wide-legged cropped pants, full-length pants or shorts. Optional details abound; mix and match the curved slash front pockets, faux fly front, single or double zipper waistband and rounded back patch pockets. To personalize even further, go all out with high contrast topstitching, or take a more minimalist approach for a clean, elegant finish.

This pattern was perfect and easily adjustable. I love overalls but they're always too short in the waist-to-crotch length or super baggy. It was clear where to add length exactly where I needed and fits awesome in the waist. Very true to size (unlike many commercial patterns which often require some form of divining to figure out what size you need).
Great pattern as usual with closet core! Fit is comfy and flattering (I think!). I am not sure if I completed the zipper part correctly even after checking the step by step on the blog. It seems like I may have used up a little bit too much of seam allowance on that side. A video tutorial on that step may have helped me (it may exists though). Besides that explanations are super clear and make for a very enjoyable experience when you take your time! I bought the pattern for the overalls version but will probably also make some pants given the nice fit!
I was looking for a pattern for some painted overalls that would have enough coverage to get the pattern across without being overwhelming. This pattern was exactly what I needed! The only hard parts were from my own mistakes because I'm still a beginner but it was still a good fit for my skill level.
We're going to start off with an anything-but-basic outfit, one rooted in a pair of vintage denim overall shorts from the 90s street style brand B.U.M. Equipment. This pair is sold, sadly, but another pair of equally throwback brand Bill Blass is available here. With a high neck white crop top layered underneath, the color variation in the denim is highlighted, and the spotlight can shine on your overall shorts (as it should). A lot of vintage overall shorts you find might be a bit large, but this is easily balanced out by a crop top underneath to show a little skin.
I love these white overall shorts because they're definitely a step off of the blue denim tracks. With a released hem and some distressing, it leans more cool kid than Labor Day, and the black basic underneath leaves all the focus where it should be: the overall shorts. Finishing off is a big ol' pop of color: a quirky vintage Hawaiian shirt from Big Dogs left unbuttoned and oversized.
I also appreciate that they have tons of pockets (yay for not carrying a purse!) and the denim is soft, not rigid. They're available in sizes XS to XXL (I take the large, for reference) and the straps are adjustable. I just throw on a T-shirt or tank top underneath and I'm ready to go. I've even been using these overall shorts as a swimsuit cover-up sometimes.
UCLA improved to 8-5 overall and 4-5 in the MPSF. The Trojans, who lost their third consecutive match after starting the season 7-0 (their best start since 1991), fell to 9-4 overall and 8-4 in the MPSF. The victory gave the Bruins 5 points in the SoCal BMW Crosstown Cup all-sports competition between the schools, which UCLA now leads 65-20. 59ce067264
